Before so many people became mini t.v. producers on social media, there was the medium of lithography.  Join us for a hands-on interdisciplinary workshop in connection with the exhibition, The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec

With the spotlight on the star performers of late-19th-century Paris so memorably captured in Lautrec’s prints and posters, we’ll consider how celebrity has evolved with technological change. Award-winning printmaker and NHIA faculty member Bill Cass will lead the conversation with Museum Educator and Lead Interpreter Ann Bible, who will facilitate a visit to the exhibition. The afternoon session will take place at NHIA and feature a demonstration of lithography and the Japanese woodblock printing process inspiring Lautrec.  Workshop attendees will leave with their own lithograph (supplies included and no experience necessary!) and a workbook of ideas for the classroom.
