In connection with the The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition, this film series will explore some of the many cinematic portrayals of Toulouse-Lautrec. Each film portrays the spectacle of cafés and cabarets, dancers and dwellers who populate the slopes of the "Mount of the Martyr" at the end of the nineteenth century.

French Cancan (1954), run time 1 hr 42 minutes

A Technicolor masterpiece by director Jean Renoir known for its beautiful dance numbers, the movie is centered on the formation of the Moulin Rouge, Lautrec’s favorite nightclub. 

Free with Museum general admission. $5 special exhibition charge to view The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec for Not-Yet Members. Admission will be collected at the Museum’s front desk when you arrive.
