Freedom of Worship Town Hall

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday February 6

5:30 PM  –  7:00 PM

What groups come to mind when we speak about freedom of worship? Too often, indigenous spiritual practices and belief systems are left out of these conversations. At this town hall, participants will engage in dialogue about the spirituality of local indigenous people, aimed at dispelling the myths and correcting misunderstandings about the historic and contemporary practices unique to the Abenaki people in this region.

This FREE event is developed in partnership with Indigenous New Hampshire, and will be led by Denise and Paul Pouliot. Denise Pouliot is a traditional Abenaki artist and Female Head Speaker of the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook Abenaki People. She also serves on the New Hampshire Commission on Native American Affairs. Paul Pouliot is Chief Speaker for the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook Abenaki People, as well as President of both COWASS North America and the Abenaki Nation of Vermont.
