Online ARTalk: Tim Portlock in conversation

Selected date

Tuesday December 8

Selected time

5:00 PM  –  6:00 PM

Join exhibiting artist, Tim Portlock, as he discusses his work in the current exhibition  Open World: Video Games and Contemporary Art. Portlock utilizes 3D imaging software, commonly used to create video game graphics, to create surreal landscapes that combine real and imagined elements. His layered scenes recall the style of 19th-century Hudson River School painters, yet offer a distinctly contemporary commentary on American land use and infrastructure.

This event is free and is part of the Currier’s virtual ARTalk series held monthly on Tuesday evenings. All ARTalks in this series will be held online via Zoom and open to the first 100 registrants. They will be livestreamed on the Currier’s Facebook page for unlimited viewing.
